Christmas 2010
We finagled a really peaceful, fun Christmas this year. We went to Memere and Poppie's for Christmas Eve (which was really all day and night), and then we we came home, and we spent Christmas Day (Mommy's birthday!) at home with Bubbe. Then we went out for Chinese food for dinner. It was truly a perfect day.
The day started with Julia waking up at about 7:30. She went downstairs and then came up to our room and exclaimed that Santa brought a sled! (She must not have seen the Wii). She was dying to ope gifts but the littles princess slept until 8:45AM! Julia was great about waiting, and when they finally went downstairs it was like Christmas-Haha! They were excited about everything including the Wii and Just Dance games, but they seemed most excited about the tootsie pops in their stockings. Of course! At least we graduated from boxes being the highlight!
We spent the day playing Wii, doing crafts, and watching movies. It was everything Mommy hoped it would be. Tip, our elf, who did a great job keeping the girls behaved the past month made his trek back home. We're hoping he will make a surprise visit this Summer. He left a note saying he likes Summers in NH so he may come check up on the girls. ;)

Whoops!
For Christmas one of the things we got the girls was a stoplight alarm clock. It turns green in the morning for the time we set it for which means they are allowed to get out of bed. So last night Daddy set it for 8AM for the light to turn green. I opened my eyes this morning at 8:45AM, and it was a very weird feeling to have slept that late and not been woken up by one of the girls. I woke Chris and said, "Um, it's 8:45. Either you did not set the clock right, or they are zonked." A couple minutes later Julia's door opens. We hear her go potty, and she comes into our room (we pretended to be asleep). She says, "Daddy, I am waiting and waiting for it to turn green, but I am STARVING!" LOL! I guess we did not set the clock right! On the other hand, Charlotte WAS still fast asleep and finally woke up at about 9:20!
