Who loves pot roast???
NOT JULIA!!!!
If it's not macaroni, pb&j, or macaroni (get the drift?) then fugheddaboutit!
I cooked a yummy pot roast yesterday, and I dreaded dinnertime with good reason. I may as well try to feed the kids sneakers! So Charlotte put up a fight at every bite. Thank goodness for grapes-great bribe tactics. So, as I was fighting with Charlotte to eat, Julia was moving the food around on her plate and still chewing the beef that had been in her mouth for 10 minutes. She says to me, "This is really good, Mommy!". Knowing the game she was playing (trying to get into my good graces while I was holding Charlotte's mouth open and shoving food in ;-) I called her bluff. I said, "great! Want to have it for dinner tomorrow night, too?" Her response, (said in sheer terror), "Don't pack it for my lunch!". Guess she loved it, lol. Chris and I were dying. She is too much.
Chris did some reprimanding towards Charlotte while we were trying to get her to eat. At one point he folded his arms. So she folded her arms right back and started tapping her hand on her high chair tray as if to say, "what else you got?". This kid is a TRIP! A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E! And, she is so funny. One of my favorite things to do with her is change her diaper. She will say "tootsies" (what I call her delicious feet), and she sticks them in my face to tickle, and if she's feeling really feisty she will suck on her toes. But, she saves that for really special moments ;-). Her teachers keep telling us how smart she is. She is not as verbal as Julia was at this age, but she understands almost everything we say to her (and complies when SHE wants to). Oh, and it helps too that she is gorgeous (no, not biased!). She has stunningly beautiful eyes. Her lashes are so long. Her eyes still really do not have a color. If I had to guess they are going to turn green or brown, and she has such ivory skin. I could stare at her all day (and would if she didn't scowl at me). Anyways, she is definitely more work than Julia was at this age, but she's worth it.
I have a bunch of pictures to upload from a very fun weekend. I hope to get them up in the next day or so.
