Charlotte

She's almost 3, and feisty! She is copying a lot of what she sees Julia doing, and she is a ham all on her own. She is our cuddle bug, and is constantly pulling my hand to her face to cuddle it. She melts our hearts!

She still refuses to eat cakes, most cookies, and ice cream! She loves her jello, though! She LOVES going to King Kone even though she refuses to get an ice cream, and won't even take a bite of any of ours, but she just likes to go! The other night we had dinner, and then we told the girls we were taking the to King Kone. We were on our way there, and Julia was telling is what she wanted (chocolate with rainbow sprinkles-ALWAYS!), and Charlotte told us she wanted a hot dog. LOL! Sorry, Char, we don't do hot dogs for dessert, but she sure does love them!

Her new favorite thing to do is brush her teeth by herself. She has fits of giggles when I finish the brushing for her. She runs into the bathroom to exclaim she has to brush her teeth! She also loves to joke, and her big thing to say is "You UGLY" to Daddy, lol.

I asked her a question at dinner last night, and she said yes and then, "Actually, no." Her vocabulary is astounding, and Chris and I are always looking at each other in disbelief at how mature and big she is getting!

The girls did some dancing to Michael Jackson (their favorite) last night, and I caught some pics of Charlotte.

Bikes and Balls!

The girls got on their bikes for the first time and loved it. Mommy did NOT love having to push Charlotte everywhere as she has not yet learned how to pedal, but she was more than thrilled with her brand new helmet which she likes to wear around the house.

Julia is getting ready to start soccer this coming weekend. She tried on some of her gear, and she was a different girl with it on. Chris and I just looked at each other and wondered who the heck she was! Instant tomboy! We're very excited for soccer to start!

Passover and Bubbe's Birthday!

We had a great dinner at Uncle Brian and Auntie 'Nessa's house for Passover (great minus what I cooked, and aside from having to leave early due to Julia puking!), and we got to see them again on Saturday for Bubbe's birthday. The kids had a blast playing together. My gorgeous nephews are very close to 6 and 9, and it is unbelievable to me how much they've grown. They introduced the girls to toy guns, and Charlotte LOVED shooting everything, lol.

Charlotte gave Peter big hugs and kisses when we left. As we were driving away she complained that she did not hug Jeffrey. I told her she did (not necessarily a goodbye hug, but she HAD!) to hopefully satisfy and quiet her. About 5 minutes later I hear in a very even, steadfast voice, "DIDN'T HUG JEFFWEY!". Nothing gets past her!

Easter 2010!

We had a really nice Easter at Memere and Poppies. Before we left the girls did an Easter egg hunt here at the house, and they had a blast finding money in the eggs. There was change in some and dollar bills in others. Julia would shake them, and if they did not jingle she;d put them back! Charlotte ended up with most of the cash which is good because her piggy bank is a LOT lighter than Julia's! We joke we need to take a loan from her!

We had an awesome meal with great family, and the girls got dressed nice and spiffy. Julia wore the dress Charlotte is wearing back when she was 3. It is surreal!

Charlotte has grown in leaps and bounds. Her talking is incredible. Her vocabulary astounds us daily. She is a little spitfire, and also our cuddle bug. She is getting too big too fast and it is so bittersweet.

As you can see below, we have been BEYOND blessed with two beautiful daughters!

Lesson Learned-NOT!!!

So on Easter Memere gave Julia two of her favorite Cadbury eggs. They were in a white bag, and I told Julia to put them in the diaper bag so we wouldn't forget them. We never opened the bag so how she knew there were two in there is beyond me, but she was pretty upset when she woke up the next AM and saw one had been eaten. No comment on that (excuse me while I wipe my face!).

So she asked me if she could have her egg for breakfast. Of course, I told her no, but said that, as a treat, we could pack it in her lunch box for a snack at school. Her reply was "we'll see"-kind of odd, but in the AM rush I didn't have time to dwell on it.

I got to making her lunch and told her to come bring me the egg so I could pack it. She again said, "We'll see", and at this point my patience was running thin. I yelled for her to bring it now, or it was not going into her lunch box.

She strolled into the kitchen with the guiltiest face ever, and I immediately realized she ate the egg. I said, "Did you eat the egg?" She said yes with a little smirk, and I yelled at her telling her I was very angry, and she begged me not to tell Daddy (lol). What shocked me, more than the fact that she totally defied what I told her, was that there was not a speck of chocolate on her face! This girl gets everything on her face!

I told her she would be in trouble when she got home after school. She gets home and I told Chris what happened, and he acted like he was upset ( (: ), and he took the girls to dinner at a restaurant we like that has free kid's meals on Mondays and Tuesdays. They also come with soft serve ice cream.

At bedtime while Daddy was in the room I asked Julia if she had ice cream. She said no, and Chris reiterated it was because she ate the egg after I told her not to. Her reply with a shrug of her shoulders was, "Well, at least I got to eat the egg."

LOL! I'm so glad that lesson was well absorbed!! Chris and I had such a great laugh after that.

The next day I asked Julia if she had used a wipe on her face after she ate it, and the little bugger had! All this time I go through the hassle of wiping their face's before school, and she is a pro at it! Guess what is her job now???

So Much Fun with the Aunt and Uncle!

Auntie Lulu and Uncle Billy surprised the girls for a visit a few weekends ago. Auntie Lulu called when they were in our front yard and told Julia to look outside. She got so excited and exclaimed, "You guys!!!!". As always we had lots of fun. The girls received their awesome belated Christmas gifts, and got to bake some of Auntie Lulu's famous and DELICIOUS egg biscuit cookies. When they had to leave Julia said, "But, we didn't have a pillow fight!". LOL-NEXT TIME!
