Funny Things.....

So our little devil in disguise has pretty much shed her baby persona, and is really turning into a little kid! We're a little sad about that, but it's funny how if you feed them they grow!

Charlotte's temper is definitely more apparent than Julia's, and her patience is definitely more thin! Her new funny thing she does that cracks us up is to do a grunt like "argh" then say "come on!" or, "aww, man!" when something is not happening exaclty as she likes it. For instance, she was on the couch watching her beloved "Max and Ruby" show, and Daddy kept pausing it to aggravate her so we could hear her yell at the tv. Every time it paused she'd grunt and say "come on!". She is hysterical.

She is copying every move Julia makes. Julia is still so good with her and definitely her protector. Charlotte would not stop going into the snack drawer the other day, and I yelled at her to stop going in the drawer. She started crying, and Julia ran into the kitchen and out her arms around her telling her it was ok all the while giving me a dirty look! It was quite funny.

The girls had a ball dancing with Bubbe to music yesterday, and they LOVE to shake their booties. They are pure comic entertainment and have us in tears so often.

We listened to music from the Lion King and other Disney movies in the car tonight. Every time a song from Ariel came on (where Ursula is taking Ariel's voice) Julia would comment about how Ursula was mean. So tonight Chris was putting Julia to bed, and she said, "Daddy, I am thinking about the song where the mean person is taking Ariel's voice". So Chris said, "Oh, about Ursula?". Julia said, "Yes. But I will tell you more about what I am thinking in the morning." Oh, the suspense! lol She is such a riot, and the two of them are just so funny and fun to have around. We are so lucky!

Christmas 2009

We had a very nice and quiet Christmas at home with Bubbe. It was also Mommy's b-day, and Mommy was very excited to receive her new Mac Laptop, and this is the very first entry being made with it.

Santa left the toys in the lower level because it was difficult for him to carry the Jeep and kitchen upstairs, and when Julia woke up Christmas morning she came in our room on the verge of tears because there were no presents under the tree (the tree was in the upper living room). We told her that we were pretty sure Santa left them in the lower level, but she was not happy until we et her peek and see the stockings down there. She relaxed, and we told her she had to wait until Charlotte woke up. Of course, this day she decided to sleep in!

The girls were somewhat overwhelmed with all the presents. Charlotte was so excited about the kitchen, and after everything was opened she "washed" all the play food including the canned vegetables. She's been "baking" cookies, and wearing the oven mitt like a pro. It is so cute.

Julia is loving the Jeep which Charlotte is afraid of. She LOVES playing the radio while driving. They each got a digital camera which were hits and a multitude of other presents. It was a great Christmas!

School Christmas Party 2009

Today the girls were excited to see Santa (Charlotte did not cry!), and had a ball at school making gingerbread houses (another disaster!-think we'll make that a tradition, lol), singing Christmas songs, and eating lots of goodies.

Julia brought tears to my eyes with the love she emanates, and the love she receives from friends and teachers. She is so well received, and such an all around great kid. She always pulls at my heartstrings. This AM she awoke bright and early at 6AM, and we cuddled on the couch. She said to me, "Mommy, tell me more about your Daddy who died". Oy. She obviously thinks about my Dad (who WAS amazing, and his influence is still a part of my life and persona), and she is so curious. I decided 6AM was not the time for that discussion so I told her we'd talk about it another time. But, she truly wants to know, and it warms my heart.

Charlotte had a ball watching Frosty and sitting on Santa's lap. She really did not want much to do with him last year so we're moving in the right direction.

Chris and I are giddy with excitement over the impending X-Mas morning frenzy that these spoiled girls are going to love. They are being very spoiled this year, and pics will come!

Happy Holidays to Everyone!

She's getting so big!

She is not a baby anymore, and is keeping up with Julia more and more. She is obsessed with the tv show "Max and Ruby" and is talking in sentences. It is amazing!

VERY Reminiscent of Auntie Lulu Here!

Gingerbread forclosure

Well, the Gingerbread house started out wonderfully, and then it fell kind of flat! LOL. However, we had lots of fun making it (and the girls enjoyed eating some of the candy), and next we're we'll draw up better plans!

Sick Day

Julia was home with me a couple weeks ago with a fever and cough, and she spent the day watching Willy Wonka 4 times in a row. Here she is lounging with "G".
