Are ya comfy, child?

Julia situated herself "like Daddy" and was facing the couch pretending to watch tv(baseball then football). She created a nice little space for herself!

Storytime!

When I painted this chair (what seems like hundreds of years ago-when pregnant with Julia!) I could never have realized the love I would have for my two dream come trues sitting in this chair!

Charlotte and Pics

Charlotte is really making leaps and bounds (well, steps) in her development. She has taken 2-3 steps, and she is standing up on her own. She is starting to mimic a lot of things Julia does, and repeating lots of words. We've had to be stern with her in regards to her safety, but it's hard to do without laughing. She kept standing up in the tub and we would tell her to sit down. Finally, I said "SIT DOWN" pretty convincingly and she said it back to me-just as convincing and clear as day (all the while NOT sitting down). She is wagging her pointer finger back and forth and saying "no no" to us. In fact, she says no a lot!! Many times it is accompanied by a head shake as well.

She is hysterical, and it is so fun to watch the girls interact. Julia will kiss her on her forehead like she is a mommy and tell her, "I love you, Charlotte". And, watching them play is hysterical. Last night they were both hanging out in the area by our front door, and I was on the loveseat. Julia would come out and Charlotte would follow crawling behind her, then Julia would turn and pretend to go after Charlotte and Charlotte would speed crawl back to the door. They did this about ten times-all the while squealing with delight.

We tried feeding Charlotte olives the other night. She feels as strongly about them as Mommy does-HATES THEM! She started spitting to get it out of her mouth and made a face that pretty much said, "What is this crap!?!?!" My sentiments exactly! Then we have Julia who loves to stick olives on the ends of her fingers and eat them that way. Yucko! I cannot understand how she likes those things!

Julia is loving hide and seek these days. The only problem is when you act like you don't where she is she screams, "Here I am". She doesn't quite get it yet!

Enjoy the pics from this past weekend. Julia got to dress up in her Halloween costume for dance class (there is also a hat, but it would be too much of a pain to wear there), and we hit the pumpkin patch on Sunday. Disclaimer: Please excuse Julia's outfit at the pumpkin patch. Daddy dressed her!!!! Also, the little girl who is taller than Julia is one month younger!

"You Got Blowdryers in Here?".............

That is what Julia asked the stylist when I took her to get her haircut last night.

She was loving every minute of getting primped, and we're all pleased with the results:-)

Sand

Julia seems to be really enjoying sand these days.

Lucky for her the playground at her school is all on sand. Not luck for me.

Julia likes to fill her pockets with sand. Then she likes to empty them around the house.

She also likes to get as much sand as possible into her shoes so when we take them off sand comes spilling out.

Last night takes the cake.

She sat on the potty, and I went in to wipe her. As you are visualizing, I was wiping her and getting gobs and gobs of sand. What the?!?! Doesn't that hurt???? WHAT IS SHE DOING????

Anyways, I'm hoping the love affair ends soon!

Just a few pics....

Not much to report........enjoy the pics!

An Apple a Day.......

Julia helped herself to an apple tonight, and Charlotte was not about to watch her eat it quietly! Julia was great about sharing. She started off standing, and Charlotte was on her knees. Julia said, "Let's sit" so she sat down and Charlotte went down to her bum. It is amazing how much she understands! Watching the girls together is just icing on the cake (trust me, we know these days are numbered!). They are so sweet.

Yeah, She's Cute........

And, no, I am not biased ;-)

Videos!

The Newest and Biggest baby!

What a tough guy!

Roscoe.....

It looks like we found our perfect dog match! He's lazier than Chris and I combined ;-) Roscoe is a 3-3 year old Boxer mix. He is L-A-Z-Y and spends most of his time sleeping on the couch (snoring included!). We picked him up Saturday, and he seems to be a keeper!

On a totally unrelated subject, Julia pooped on the potty for the first time this am! She is at school in her new Curious George panties which she is very excited about (and offered to show anyone around a peek!).

Saturday we went to our friend Paris' 4th birthday party. Ariel was a special guest! She sang songs and did crafts and makeup. Julia got her first manicure and eyeshadow and blush. It was very cute. Early on when they were singing songs Julia blurts out "Do you have a pool?" Ariel kind of ignored her, lol. About one minute later Julia told me she was hungry, and she was the kid hanging by the food table double dipping her chips, lol. It's amazing how much she is like her father ;-)

Enjoy the pics!
