My beautiful Charlotte (unbiased, of course!)
Charlotte and I spent a fun evening together at Target while Julia stayed home with Daddy. I miss the ease of being in a store with just one child, but I wouldn't give up what I have for the world! How could you resist this face? She and I had a blast together. What is more fun than singing ABC's and 123's together in the middle of Target??

Latest Going Ons....
Well, the dog we were supposed to adopt turned out to have questionable behavior towards Charlotte, and we could not go through with the adoption. We were very sad, but the good news is we are going to see a Golden Retriever tonight who sounds perfect for us. We are very hopeful.
Saturday AM Julia has a tap and ballet class. It is 45 minutes long. This past weekend she exclaimed in the middle of the class that she wants munchkins, another time she was thirsty, ANOTHER time she was thirsty, and lastly she had to use the potty. She is extremely devoted to dance, lol.
We also went to a store, and I have her cash to buy a DVD. She gave the woman at the register the cash and the DVD, and the change was a penny which the woman gave to Julia. Julia said, "Can I have my dollars back, please?" Wouldn't it be nice if that was how it worked??
Lately, Charlotte has been crying when we put her to bed. Last night I decided to see if she could just cry herself to sleep. So I came downstairs and Julia was watching tv. Charlotte is screaming and Julia says, "Mommy, Charlotte is crying (thanks, Julia, I could not hear her ;-). Can you go get her?" So I told her that I was letting her cry for a bit to see if she would fall asleep. A few minutes later she was still crying and Julia says to me, "She is still crying. You need to go get her." LOL-she cracks me up. Luckily, about a minute after that Charlotte did stop crying and fell asleep.
I was starting to make dinner last night, and Julia wanted to help. It was more of a pain for her to help (making meatballs so dealing with raw meat) so I told her she could not help because it was difficult. So she said to me, "Mommy, I can help. I helped Daddy yesterday to make eggs." After she said such a coherent sentence I could not deny her wishes. She pulled up a kitchen chair and shook the spices in and helped me mix a bit. These are truly the best times!
She was upstairs going potty, and I yelled up to her from the kitchen, "Julia, what are you doing?" She yelled back, "I am good. I am fine!" lol
Charlotte is putting two words together and was saying "Bye Daddy" as I put her in the car for daycare this am. Of course, Daddy was long gone, but it was nice she was thinking of him!
If you can't tell the batteries in my camera are dead, and I keep forgetting to change them!
And, a very happy 31st birthday to Chris(Daddy) today! We love you!

We're getting a dog!! And, Julia at her finest!
Julia mortified us last night.
The dog is in a foster home. We get to the house and go in. The home is beyond gorgeous-top of the line everything. It turns out the husband is a heart surgeon!
So we walk into the kitchen/living room area, and I smell dinner cooking. So Julia asks what they have in their refrigerator. That was the first thing, but minor.
So then the foster mom is showing us how the dog reacts to commands, and rewarding him with cheese. Julia asks for some cheese. Still minor.
We sit down on the floor and Julia leans over and rips out the longest loudest fart, giggle, and says "excuse me". Oh my God I was mortified! I also was laughing hysterically along with Chris. The woman was telling us not to worry about it and laughing. I could feel my face burning up. I know she is only three, but it is still embarrassing!!
Then she got herself situated on their couch next to their kindergartener son, and she took the blanket and put it over them. The little boy was giggling and Julia patted his tummy like she is the big kid.
Anyways-the dog is a Lab and possibly Shepherd mix. He is 5 months old and adorable. We are all excited!

Special Thanks to Auntie Lulu and Uncle Billy
***said with rolling eyes***
The other night we were eating dinner. Julia drinks some of her milk and burps, on purpose. She drinks more and does it again. I start to tell her to stop burping, and that it is no appropriate and Daddy burps. Thanks for the backup, Daddy, lol. Julia continues to drink milk and burp, and I finally yell at her and tell her it is disgusting, and to stop. Her response, "I burp like AUntie Lulu and Uncle Billy!"
THANKS SO MUCH!!!

I Stand Corrected!
Julia has started peeing on the potty pretty regularly. However, she will not poop yet(she's going to love me when she reads this in 15 years!). Last night I was putting her to bed and I mentioned how soon she needs to start pooping in the potty. She looks at me, closes her eyes in disgust, reopens them and says, "Mommy it is not a potty, it is a toilet." Well, ok then, lol!
The night before she went into the bathroom to go potty (er, toilet), and she slammed the door in Chris' face, yelled, "GET OUT I need my privacy". Last time we checked she was three!!! Have I mentioned this child is obsessed with washing her hands? Who knew soap was so fantastic!!!?!?
Charlotte is getting more mobile, and is such a little devil. She climbs up the stairs real slowly, and I will watch her. She will look over her shoulder to see if we are coming yet. When we get up to go get her off she giggles and scrambles as fast as she can up the rest of the steps. She is hysterical.
We were walking in from daycare last night, and Julia says to me, "I want macaroni and cheese for dinner. I don't want any veg-ET-ables." Lol. Too bad. She ate some green beans. I am a very mean mommy. Charlotte devoured her mac and cheese and green beans too.
Charlotte is in love with dogs-so much so that we're in the process of adopting one. Seriously, it has been harder to get approved for a dog than it is to have a child! Charlotte loves the in-laws dog Pepper. She goes up to her, kisses her right on the nose, and gives her full body hugs. She also kisses the dog that is pictured in one of her nightime books we read. She loves it, and always wants to go back to that page.
Not much more to report.....Hope all are doing well!

Fun With Auntie Lulu and Uncle Billy
The girls absolutely adore Lucy and Billy. They came up this weekend for the day on Saturday. We hung around the war zone (house), and went to dinner at Carrabba's. Uncle Billy got suckered into forking over a dollar to Julia for peeing on the potty! Julia likes the color green, lol. We called Bubbie later to tell her that Julia peed on the potty (slow slow progress here!), and Julia said to Bubbie, "Ya got some dollars for me too?"
Lucy and Billy relayed a conversation to me that made them laugh.
Julia was sitting on Billy's lap pretending to bite Uncle Billy.
Billy, "Julia, I promise you if you bite me I will bite you back."
Julia thought about it for a few seconds.....
"Uncle Billy, I not bite you."
She made a very smart decision!!

Dancing Queen (or Toddler)!!!!
Julia had her first dance class this am, and, as I suspected she would she LOVED it! Who wouldn't love a full wall of mirrors so they could watch their every move?
Oh, and the best part was when the teacher had them pretend they were spreading peanut butter and jelly on their legs (to get them to stretch and Julia yelled to me "I want a munchkin!"
They do tap and ballet, or pretend to anyways, lol. It was cute to watch.

Overdue Picture Post!
Well, I am still in the kitchen but found the camera cord!
A few weekends ago we had a blast at Auntie Lulu and Uncle Billy's. We had a great BBQ lunch, and for dinner Auntie made a delicious vodka sauce over pasta which the girls inhaled (admittedly, I did too), and she also grilled a whole chicken on the grill with a beer can up its butt! There is never a dull moment at their house!!
We spent the day by the pool and had such a nice time. I wish we lived closer to them so they could cook for us more often ;-)
Also included are some pics of Parlee farm. The girls got to pet and feed goats and we went blueberry eating, er um, I mean picking!! We had to explain to Julia that they go INTO the container and not her mouth!
Enjoy the pics! (Take note of the very adorable shot of Julia laying with Uncle Billy. She ADORES him!)
And Auntie Lulu-that vacuum pic is for you!!
