Julia went to Storyland!

My daycare provider took Julia to Storyland with her family last week, and Julia had a blast. Apparently, she did not want to get out of the ball pit! Here are the photos she sent me! There's also a couple just from her house, and one I took the othe night.

Also, Julia is crawling everywhere and anywhere she can fit her little body. She is on the go BIG TIME! And, just the other night she took a few step with her walker. She is a riot!

Had a Great weekend...

Went to Auntie Lulu's for the engagement party and then to Miss Christine's for a visit with her parents, and Julia had a blast at both locations. She's 4 months and then 12 months with the bunnies Just sharing some pics.....

Love at First Sight!

Do you know what you cannot find in almost any store? A plain old Elmo.We searched high and low for an Elmo that didn't sing or dance, say your name, cook dinner etc. Apparently the toy companies figure they make more money on things like that so just a regular plush Elmo is a hot commodity! And, you know where we finally found one? The Hallmark paper store! For $16.00 for a 13inch stuffed Elmo!

But, as I said it was love at first sight and completely worth it. Julia ADORES Elmo (llelo) and I was changing her diaper when Daddy got home with the doll. He showed it to her and she said "LLELO!" and smiled from ear to ear.

So, if it was $150 we would have gotten it!

She slept with her doggy in one arm and Elmo in the other, after we kissed and hugged him all night. I am wondering if I need to buy a backup, lol!

My daycare lady has a bin of blocks Julia plays with. She said if the little Elmo figurine is at the bottom she will reach all the way down to get him.

I don't have any pics yet of her with him, but they will come.

Here is a picture of her lounging in her chair. She LOVES this chair. And, take notice of the toy atached to her thumb. She takes anything with a small hole and sticks her thumbs in them. It's quite funny!

Crawling and Full of Mischief!

Julia has been a ball lately (what else is new!?!). She loves crawling around, and she is venturing further and further each day. The other night I put her on the floor in her room. She will usually stay in the center or crawl to her bookcase. I went to wash her toothbrush in the sink, and when I walked back to her room she met me at the doorway and was about to crawl out. Baby gates here we come, lol! She loves sitting in her upholstered chair and, to get down rather than doing her usual face first tumbles to the floor she now scoots her bum forward, gets her feet on the floor, and then slides her tush down.

She LOVES sticking her thumbs into small holes. She is almost always carrying one or two of her toys that have openings on her thumb. Yesterday Bubbe tried to take one off to play with her and she would not let her!

This child has music in her blood. Whether it be videos, commercials, television programs or her toys, this child shakes her hips and arms to the beat. Quite often she looks like a little conductor and usually "conducts" with both pointer fingers in the air.

Last weekend we had our friends from DC up. She loves them! They brought her "brains and beauty" as they put it! A book and bathing suit. So cute!

Bubbe taught Julia to say Please. It sort of comes out in a whisper like "pease" but it works and is so cute! She is starting to mimic so much. This morning I was singing "Row Row Row your boat" to her and she said O O O....not exactly but close! Here's some recent pics:

Sorry-didn't take any last night.

We had lots of fun playing in our 3rd bedroom with Julia last night. She is still doing the Frankenstein crawl and is very unsteady which makes her even cuter (if I do say so myself!). While playing she kept stopping what she was doing to crawl over to me to be picked up into my lap and saying "Lala". I kept having to sing the Elmo song..."Lalalalala Elmo's World" OVER AND OVER. She must have done this twenty times! Of course, I did love it since her crawling to us and asking to be picked up is so new!

On another note her eating is no better. It is driving us nuts. She will take it in her mouth, look like she is chewing then NOTHING. Inevitably I end up having to fish the food out with a spoon. She does LOVE couscous and manages to get it down, for the most part. When she wanted couscous she would look at the container I had it in and shake her head up and down as if she was saying, "Yes, mother, you may serve me another bite now".

OY!!!

Llello...............

That's right folks, we are now in an infatuation with ELMO. Julia gets very excited whenever she sees anything Elmo and she either says Lalala because that is what he sings or Llello for his name. Of course, it cracks us up. We were in Babies R Us yesterday scoping out baby gates and she saw this chair and yelled Lalalala. We had to put her in it. It vibrates, Elmo talks, and giggles, and Julia loves it. If it wasn't $36.99 we would have owned it, lol.




We had a rough weekend with Julia as her rash was horrific, but it is finally starting to get better! She was a riot yesterday playing. My girlfriend got her this new drum that she hits and plays lots of music as well as lights up. She would hit the drum, play with some other toys and as soon as it would go off she'd hit it again. She did this over and over. She also loves to dance with both pointer fingers up in the air.

Sat am we took her for her one year pics. She did phenomenal, and I cannot wait for them to come in!!!

We Have an Owie....

Sorry I haven't updated in a couple days. Julia has been fighting a major butt rash, and today it became too much for her to bear and we went to the doc. it turns out it is a yeast infection (baby type-different than the adult type!), and now we are using Lotrimin. Hopefully she will be out of pain soon. Talk about feeling awful-watching her cry from pain kills me!

But, we had a very fun day yesterday. Auntie Jen came for a visit and she brought Julia a cupcake because she missed her party because she was in Aruba (lucky her!!). All Julia really wanted to do with it was squish the frosting through her fingers!

Julia is starting to crawl a little more bit by bit. While i the doctor's waiting room she wanted to get down and she crawled on the floor. It is still new crawling so it sort of resembles Frankenstein walking. It is so cute. Every time I try to video tape her though she stops!

Yesterday she realized if she rode her little car up to the tv she could push the power button on the cable box on and off 65 million times so she did that until I shut the doors on the entertainment center. I think those doors are going to come in handy!

We have a...............

CRAWLER!!!! My daycare lady just called and said Julia started crawling today!!! It is bittersweet on so many levels, but I am dying to go see her! I could have taken my lunch over there, but she just put her down for a nap! My baby girl is growing up! Baby gates and locks here we come!!

Good Morning

Julia enjoyed an evening with her Memere and Poppie. They brought up dinner and stayed the night in their motor home. We had a delicious turkey dinner. Here's a pic of Julia enjoying breakfast this am.
