Just a Small Update...

Sorry for the sporadic posting. Chris is in school now and home very late two nights a week so taking pics is not as easy!

Julia is doing well. She has been fighting a cough for about two weeks now, but the doc thinks it is just a cold and she should be better soon. Her eating is better-somewhat. She wants what she wants only when she sees fit to eat it. For this reason she has now started taking a vitamin. It smells pretty nasty, and she is not a huge fan. I explained to her all she has to do is eat better, but, alas, my almost 14 month old does not yet understand that concept.

Bubbe came to visit and play yesterday. Julia had a blast. Here's a couple pics and another one from the other night. Excuse the spit up on her shirt!

We Had a Wonderful Weekend!

Last weekend we traveled to New Jersey to go to the 1st birthday party of a friend I made via a baby board I frequent. We have instant messaged every day for months and months, and Jenn and I finally met face to face. It was so much fun. Jenn nd her hubby are wonderful people, Abby (their daughter) is a riot, and we felt like old friends.

At the party there was a music lady who did songs and Julia loved it. Of course, she wanted to stand the whole time (just about), but she had a blast, and managed to get in the singers face a couple times which brought some laughs.

Saturday night we traveled to Connecticut to visit our good friends Wei and Ying, and Julia got to spend some time with their 15 month old Andy.

Julia i starting to eat better. She is swallowing a lot more "real" food. Last night she had turkey meatloaf for dinner. She is getting into everything, crawling everywhere and giving us a run for our money.

She was such an angel all weekend. We are truly blessed with a wonderful child! Her newest thing is playing with the remote control to the tv and acting like it is a phone. She puts it up to her ear and says "Hi!"!

Long Overdue Post...

But not without remorse :-). Julia is making huge strides with her eating. This weekend she chewed and SWALLOWED!!!!!!! She ate spaghetti and tomatoes and and all sorts of little things and they went down. I am so excited about this. But, even more exciting is she is pulling herself up in her crib and pack and play. We visited Auntie Jen and Uncle Richie this weekend and we set up her pack and play there (she was wearing all of us out while we were trying to prevent her from 1. sticking her hands in the radiators 2. sticking her fingers in the electrical outlets 3. picking up any little tiny debris from the floor and sticking it in her mouth 4. beelining for the stairs 5. bee lining for the exposed HOT lightbulb and LASTLY 6. attempting to play with an exposed gas pipe for a fireplace or stove). She then showed off in her pack and play and stood up, and she is now pulling herself up in her crib. She is also standing at the bottom of the stairs and we are DOOMED when she figures those out! She is just a riot-more and more fun each day and getting big! We had to take some 18M jean shorts off of her as they were too tight in her buddha belly! My little princess has also discovered how to take her bows and hair elastics out and is driving me nuts with that! She also got to visit Auntie Lulu and Uncle Billy this weekend too. This kid is loved!

I also wanted to add that the princess has now figured out how to take out her hairbows and elastics. She is quite the character!
