Party was a success!

Julia had a wonderful 1st birthday party! She was an angel and had a blast! We want to thank everyone for coming and also want to say thanks for everyone's extreme generosity! It was so much fun!! Her real b-day is tomorrow! We cannot believe the year has flown by so fast!

It is only allowing me to upload a few pics right now. I will try to add more later tonight or tomorrow.

Enjoy!

My Butterfly Fairy

A friend of mine takes regular pictures and transforms them. Julia was just looking at her hand here sitting on grass. I asked her to do whatever she wanted to the pic. She entitled it "Blue Butterfly Fairy". I love it! If you click on the pic you can see it bigger.

Lots Goin' On!

Saturday AM I went in to get Julia from her crib (the princess finally decided to wake up at 9:20!) and she was sitting up VERY proudly! She has never sat herself up before! She was smiling and was so proud of herself as was her Mama. I ran out to get Chris to come back and look. She just kind of looked at us like "What's the big deal?". She then was able to sit up from being on her tummy on the floor. She has been rocking on her knees like crazy and she is going to be crawling soon FOR SURE! I AM NOT READY lol! Ironically, I got a brand new baby gate at a yard sale this weekend so maybe she's just waiting for me to get this house baby proofed!!

Julia's new favorite thing to do is take the back of her hand to her mouth and make noise, and make her voice quiver with the covering and uncovering of her mouth. She is so full of personality and makes us so happy. We were on the way to the store yesterday and Chris commented how he could not wait to get there so he could get her out of her carseat and play with her, lol. She is the best toy we could possibly have!!

This weekend is her big b-day party! I cannot believe she is going to be 1 Aug 1! It goes by too fast! We are having a great turnout at the party, and we're just praying for no rain!

The site is having problem with uploading pics....I will add some later!

First Baseball Game!

Julia had an absolute blast last night at a Manchester Fisher Cats baseball game. They aren't even minor league, but the stadium was full and it was a great place for families. We got tickets thru Chris' work, and we went with a bunch of his co-workers. We played pass the baby all night, and, of course, Julia ate all the attention up (after she finished another dinner of tofu!! She also really enjoyed some hot dog roll).

She loved when everyone clapped and joined in (sometimes a few seconds too late!). We were right near the Manchester airport and planes kept flying over head. She loved watching them, an when they were out of sight she would look at us wondering where the heck they went.

Here's some pics (notice she is starting to bust out of her 12M Red Sox outfit!):

Pics from Daycare....

My daycare provider sent these to me. She LOVES daycare, and quite often wants to be held by Bridget (the provider) over me. It does not upset me as it just solidifies she is happy and in the right place! Here are some pics of her enjoying her days.

I also added a pic of the adirondack chair my in-laws got Julia at the Christmas Tree Shop. It is so cute, and Julia loves sitting in it!

Tonight Julia actually ATE her dinner! And, you will not believe what she ate! Mashed up tofu and canned petite dices tomatoes mixed together! I cannot get this kid to eat mac and cheese but she eats this! Unbelieveable! But, I am thrilled she likde it!

Busy fun weekend!

Friday my in-laws came up and spent the night in their motorhome. We BBQ'd and had a nice time. Saturday Miss Christine came up and went swimming with Julia and we had a wonderful day. Christine brought Julia an Einstein video which she absolutely loved. You can see her enjoying the video in her chair below.

Sunday we went to a park and played outside on the grass for a bit. Julia actually sat in the grass without crying and enjoyed picking it and watching it fall from her hands. She had a blast and danced to the music her toy was making. We propped her up on her knees and she rocked back and forth for just a few seconds. Crawling may be around the corner!

Julia's favorite things to say this weekend were "Hi" and "The Dawwwwgy". She and I were inthe Kohl's dressing room yesterday and she was staring into the mirror screaming "the dawwwgy" (she says it like she has a RI accent!). It was a riot and cracked me and fellow Kohl's customers up! I think it is so funny that she puts "the" in front of "dog". Here's some pics from our weekend.........

(can't get all the pics to load-will try again later....)

First 1st B-Day Present!

My inlaws ordered this from JCPenney and had it sent here. I was going to wait to open it for her until her b-day, but the box said what it was so I figured since we already knew it was ok to open...lol! It is so cute and will be perfect in our family room. Luckily the cover comes off so I can wash it. The biggest obstacle will be convincing the cat this is no for HER!

I think I mentioned over the weekend Julia had a fever. Well, yesterday she had a rash from head to toe. She looked like she had chicken pox. I had started putting milk in her bottle and was worried she was reacting to that, but the rash is much better today and must have been fever (virus) related.

Bubbe came to visit yesterday and we went to the mall (where else?). Julia had a blast an missed both her naps, but she made it through the day ok! Here's a pic of her in her pretty dress and pigtails. It's one of the only pics I have of her not smiling! For some reason the one of her smiling would not upload!

And, another thing!

Thank you, Aunty Lulu, for my pretty dress!

Last night we started Julia on a new type of sippy cup as she was not taking too well to the one we had. She did really well, and it was very encouraging. As she approaches her 1st b-day (:-() we'd like to get her off her bottles. We shall see! We are also going to start weaning her off formula. We start with some milk mixed into the formula tonight.

Julia woke up crying this am which she never does. Of course, when I went in to get her she was all smiles. I brought her into bed with me and put PBS on. The only time she turned her head to the tv was when they were singing a song. It was much more fun to pull my hair (only a few strands at a time though for an extra painful punch!), yank off my glasses and slam herself up and down into the pillows!

I love my baby girl. I tell my Chris going into her room to get her is like opening a present every day!

Summer Fun!

Auntie Ness, Uncle Brian, Jeffrey, Peter, and Bubbe came over to swim and BBQ yesterday. We had lots of fun and Julia, of course, had a blast. She had been somewhat cranky for the past two days, and last night she spiked a fever, but she seems to be doing better today.

Dawwwwwwgyyyyyy!

That is Julia's newest word! If you ask her where the doggy is she looks for Sierra and says dawwwwgyyy. She is also now pointing at everything. Just a ouple pics of her playing last night.....

Multitasking!

Last night before bed we gave Julia her last bottle. She had been sucking her binky and normally she grabs the bottle, spits the binky out, and sucks her bottle. Well, last night she decided it was too much work to spit the binky out and just pushed it to the side while she drank her bubba. She is quite talented!
