No, Thanks (Again)

Charlotte is really coming into her own, and she is a devious little thing.

She LOVES jello, but she also likes to eat it with her hand. Who has time for spoons? Lol But, we always reprimand her and remind her to use her spoon. But, when she goes to use her hand she keeps her eyes on either myself or Chris, and has the guiltiest face ever. If she sees we are watching her she says "Hi!" to get a feel for whether she will be told to use the spoon, then she lifts the spoon and says, "Spoon?". Yes, Charlotte! Use your spoon!

If there was a professional association for jello eaters she could be President. This child can fit the largest bite (ie half the container) into her mouth at once. It is quite comical!

Last night at bedtime she went to hide next to her dresser. So I tried to coax her to the changing table and said "want your binky?". She replied, "No thanks, you hold it". LOL. She is getting too smart. Then while reading books she always says "wait a second" before we turn every page. It is so cute!

These are pics from this am. The girls had picture day at school today.

"No, Thanks".

In school the girls are taught from very young that when they do not like something, or if someone is doing something they do not like to say "no thank you".

Last night the girls were done with their baths, and I needed to brush their hair. Charlotte was having a ball jumping on Julia's bed, and I said "Come here, so I can brush your hair." She replied, "no thanks" like it was an option. It was cute.

Also, Chris was talking with Julia and made her come down to tell me what she said. She told me she wants the Hanna "Bon"tana clothes. I said it is "Montana", but she told me she likes to say "Bon"tana. I asked her where she saw HM clothes, and she said a girl at school had a HM sweatshirt and it "was style". I think she meant styliss, lol.

Fun with Jaime and Christine!

Our friends Jamie and Christine came over for dinner, and the girls had a blast receiving attention from them and making Jamie fly them through the air over and over. Charlotte also put on a little show with her harmonica.

Happy Belated Birthday, Daddy!

I took Julia to the Dollar Store to let her have free reign and pick something out for him (we're big spenders here!).

As we were walking in she spotted balloons. She (loves) wanted to get him a balloon. I told her we could pick one after she picked his gift.

First she picked up a bouquet of fake flowers and said she thought Daddy would like those. I said I wasn't sure, and we should keep looking.

She found a bouquet of lollipops and said she wanted to get those for HIM. I said, "Daddy won't like those". And her reply was, "But, I would". LOL-at least she was honest!

She decided on this frame, and (after saying not to a Princess balloon) a generic Happy Birthday Balloon!

Daddy's birthday was Sep 23.

Definitely Not a Happy Face!

I forget what this was in response to, but she definitely showed her displeasure!

What Were We Thinking?

Chris and I got to spend a few days in California together while Auntie Jaime watched the girls (and did ANOTHER fabulous job!). We got the girls some presents-one of them being a harmonica for Charlotte.

As we suspected, she loved it! She likes to shake her booty while playing. It is very cute!

Sweet Baby Addy!

We had so much fun with Baby Addy a couple weekends ago. She is 8 months old now (already!), and an absolute love. She is so easy going and delicious! She is Auntie Jen abd Uncle Richie's baby girl, and Julia and Charlotte absolutely adore her! Check out the chub-my favorite part!

(I have a lot more pics of the three of them together, but due to a severe diaper rash Charlotte was naked, and I can't post them!).

Best Girls Ever!

Chris and I spent a few days in LA, and the girls had a ball with Auntie Jaime. They went on a hayride, picked pumpkins, to the playground, and to my brother's for Rosh Hashanah dinner. They had a blast! I took this before I left on my new phone. We were at McDonald's. This was right before Charlotte climbed down from the table, walked to another table, and said "what are you doing?" to perfect strangers, lol.

Tonight we were having dinner, and Chris gave Charlotte something on her plate. She goes, "Aww, Daddy. You're so nice. Thank you!" Yes, to say we melted was an understatement! She has blossomed into quite the conversationalist, and, like her sister, is a complete ham!

How about NOT!

Last night Chris was putting Julia to bed. He told her a story and said it was time for bed. She said, "Um, how about you rub my back, and then MAYBE I will go to bed"? Chris just laughed and said "how about not". LOL At her school they rub their backs at naptime so that is where she got that idea.

Today

Charlotte pooped and peed on the potty twice! Woohoo!

Fun Weekend!

Memere and Poppie came up to visit for the first time in a few months. They had spent the Summer in Arkansas. The girls were thrilled to see them. They spent a little time in the parking lot of Daddy's work riding their bikes. Julia is finally big enough for her bike, and rode around by herself for the first time. Charlotte was very VERY upset that she did not have a helmet. She couldn't have cared less about the bike-she wanted a helmet.

Auntie Lulu and Uncle Billy showed up which was a HUGE and WELCOMED and APPRECIATED surprise. We had tons of fun with them, and, of course, they could not make a getaway without a pillow fight which the girls LOVE.

Enjoy the pics!

First Day of Pre-K

Julia started her new Pre-K class on Tuesday. She loved it, and enjoyed being in the new "big kids" room as well as napping in the gym. I asked her if she met any new friends, and she said there was a new girl. She did not remember her name, but she had black and white pants and shoes to match! LOL

She is very excited she gets to take her backpack to school now. She is going to have homework on Mondays. It looks like we packed the entire house in her backpack, but it was just her nap mat!

This beautiful little girl....

Melts her Mommy and Daddy's heart....

PLEASE.STOP.GROWING.UP!!!! She is NOT a baby anymore.

The other night we went to dinner, and I brought up to Julia how she cannot continue to poop in her Pull-Up overnight. She never did that, and had done it recently about 3 times. Chris already had a discussion with her about it where he threatened to start putting her back in diapers because she was doing what a baby does. Well, that thwarted the behavior for a few days, but then it happened again. While at dinner Chris told her he was going to put her in a diaper that night. Julia looked at him and said, "No, Daddy. I am DEFINITELY not wearing diapers!". She was as serious as could be, and it was another time Chris and I had to stifle or laughter and amazement. Since when did she know the word "definitely" and know the proper useage?

After that Chris said something else to her she did not like, and she looked at him and knew she better not say anything back, but she squinted her eyes to give him a dirty look. Mama lost it. I saw Chris doing his best to hold back laughter, and I quickly turned my head and laughed/coughed. Julia asked me if the song was funny (there was a radio playing music), and that gave me the outlet to let my laughter out (as well as Chris), and we told her that "yes, the song was VERY funny", lol.

On an adorable note, and I think I mentioned this recently, Julia is so good to Charlotte. Every night they come home from school, and Charlotte asks Julia to take her shoes off for her which Julia does in an extremely maternal, loving manner. And, today Charlotte wore tie shoes, and Julia sat there patiently working the double knots to get them untied, and also took Charlotte's socks off after she asked and Julia confirmed with me it was ok to take her socks off too. I love them soooo much.

And, in VERY exciting news Charlotte pooped and peed on the potty tonight! I am not holding much stock in it, but it was cute, and she was thrilled with all the clapping and praise she received! Love her!
