Wonderful weekend!
We had a fantastic time at our friend's wedding, and Julia and Charlotte had their very first overnite away from Mommy and Daddy (Mommy and Daddy had a harder time than they did!).
They went for a ride with Memere and Poppie, and they took Julia shopping. She bought me a small bouquet of fake daisies with a plastic bud vase that she picked out, and they had her sign a card for me. It was very sweet and totally touched my heart. Those are the most important things in my life right now. I swear-nothing makes me happier than watching Julia write and draw. Her "people" are so funny. They are big circles with dots for eyes and a crooked mouth, and then sticks for arms and legs. I love them!!! Those are going in her "treasure" chect (hope chest).
Chris came home from Denver Friday evening, and he got Julia a ladybug hat and Dora pencils, and he got Charlotte a bee hat with matching backpack. I think it is the cutest thing ever!!
Sunday we enjoyed a Mother's Day brunch with the in-laws and headed over to my brother's for a delicious BBQ (yes Brian, best brisket ever-insert eye roll here!). The pics are of everyone playing Wii Fit. Well, Julia wasn't really playing, but she thought she was! There was a game where you jog in place which she loved and ran right along next to my nephews Pete and Jeff (who just turned 8!!!). Charlotte observed from the coffee table!
Enjoy the pics!
