Day 5-Six Flags Wild Safari and Jersey Shore

This was one of the most fun days of our vacation! We drove through the Wild Animal Safari and Julia loved it. She got to sit on Daddy's lap while he drove(max speed 12MPH) and we saw everything. At the end of the safari was a little store and picnic area. We had packed a cooler and enjoyed sandwiches and chips and soda. It was really laid back and relaxing. Julia also got to take her first pony ride. She loved it! One of my favorite pics is of the giraffe chilling in the middle of the road.

From there we went to Point Pleasant Beach at the Jersey shore. We had gone there last year with our friends (Jenn, Pete, and Abby) and absolutely loved it. It is a boardwalk area right on the ocean called Jenkinson's, and it's clean and lively and loads of fun. They have a ride area for the kids, and Julia, yet again, had a blast. The funny thing about Julia is while she is riding rides she stares at the mechanism that makes the ride spin, or go up and down-depending on what type of ride it is. She is extremely interested in how things work. First we went onto the beach for a little dip in the ocean. Charlotte loves playing in the sand (almost as much as she likes to eat it!), and Julia waded into the water with Chris. We had dinner at a wonderful restauarant right on the ocean called Jenk's, and the day could not have been better. We cannot wait to go back!

Another side note-Julia is such an incredible big sister. There is a pic below of her sharing her lollipop with Charlotte. She does this unprompted. Also, the pics of her at the restaurant making Charlotte laugh. When Charlotte is fussy she does whatever she can to help Charlotte be happy. We are so very lucky.
